At least three sitting MLAs from the Bharatiya Janata Party in Andhra Pradesh are looking at the Jana Sena. They are waiting at the out gate of the BJP looking forward to a call from Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan.
As the Jana Sena chief is scheduled to launch his 100-day long intensive campaign at the Assembly constituency level across the 175 constituencies in the State, these BJP MLAs are pinniong hopes on Pawan Kalyan opening his party doors for them.
BJP floor leader P Vishnukumar Raju, Rajamahendravaram MLA Akula Satyanarayana and Kaikaluru MLA Kamineni Srinivas are now waiting for a call from Pawan Kalyan. According to the sources in the BJP, these three MLAs have already made up their mind to leave the party. While Akula Satyanarayana and Kamineni Srinivas have already sent feelers to the Jana Sena, Vishnukumar Raju is in two minds. It is said that Vishnukumar Raju is in love with the Telugu Desam Party and Chandrababu Naidu is his first preferred leader when it comes to his political loyalties.
The three legislators are already keeping away from the BJP activities in their respective constituencies. They are not even attending the party meetings either at the district level or at the State level. It is since long that they have reported to the party State president Kanna Lakshminarayana. None of them is taking Kanna Lakshminarayana seriously in the party affairs. He is moving around with his own team that he had built up after assuming the office.
As the elections are fast approaching in the State and the notification is likely to be out in February, the leaders are anxiously waiting for Pawan Kalyan to answer their calls. It might take a few more days for these legislators to drop the BJP flag from their hands and take up the Jana Sena flag.
