Prime Minister Narendra Modi heckled Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on his seniority. Chandrababu Naidu had been claiming that he is the senior most politician in the country and even senior to Narendra Modi. He made this statement several times since he started his fight after breaking alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party in May 2018, after the budget session.
Modi took some time to answer this issue of seniority but in a different way. He said Chandrababu Naidu is senior in betraying people, looting the exchequer, amassing wealth for the family and changing alliance in every election. This funny and heckling retort from Narendra Modi on Chandrababu Naidu’s seniority claims earned him big laughter in the public meeting and the social media as well. This heckling on seniority is going viral in the social media with the BJP sympathisers and critics of Chandrababu Naidu trolling it extensively.
The Prime Minister said that Chandrababu Naidu was spending sleepless nights due to fear of defeat in the next elections. The sleeplessness was also due to fear of being caught by the Central government for the corruption that he was indulging in. “Chandrababu Naidu is not giving accounts for the Central government funds given to the State. There is huge corruption in spending these funds by Chandrababu Naidu and his son Lokesh,” Prime Minister said in his public address.
The Prime Minister also made a sarcastic remark on the growth of the State. “Naidu promised to develop Andhra Pradesh as Sun Rise State. But, what I see now is the rise of Naidu’s son,” the Prime Minister said giving a fitting counter to Chandrababu Naidu’s campaign against the Central government and the BJP leadership.
He also took a pot-shot at Chandrababu Naidu’s claims of his ability to create wealth and Narendra Modi’s inability. “Naidu says that I have no ability and experience to create wealth. Naidu is creating wealth to his family from Amaravati and Polavaram funds. I don’t have this ability to create assets and wealth for the family. I create wealth for the nation,” Modi said as the crowd cheered him.
