The only movie left un-reviewed this Sankranthi season is Venky-Varun’s ‘F2-Fun and Frustration’ and it hit the screens today all over the world. Venky mama’s hilarious comedy scenes in the teaser and trailer led to piling up the huge expectations on this family comedy-drama.
Let’s find out how this duo performed on the screens.
Venky (Venkatesh) got married to Tamanna and after six months into the marriage, he starts hating his wife. At the same time, Varun (Varun Tej) falls in love with Venky’s sister Honey (Mehreen) and wants to marry her. Later Varun too gets the frustration with his relationship like Venky.
So out of frustration, they want to escape to some other country. Where they face some problems. The story is all about how Venky Varun solve their problem and how they get back to their lovely wives.
We can experience the Vintage Venky (the one in Intlo Illalu Vantintlo Priyuralu and Nuv Naku Nacchav, Malliswari) is back and he is hilarious in the film. He is too good with his facial expressions. It is good to see him in a lovable role after a long time which every family audience will connect to.
Being a newbie when compared to Venky mama, Varun Tej delivered an equivalent and decent performance in the film. We should appreciate him for his efforts in the film. Varun not only had to get his Telangana slang right, but he also had to evoke slapstick comedy which he did quite well and gelled with Venky superbly.
Tamanna and Mehreen are too good in the film and they also pulled the comedy off easily in the film. Annapurnamma and KR Vijaya played good roles and they are also hilarious in the film.
Others like Vennla Kishore and Rajendra Prasad gave their best in the film and everyone in the film tickle your ribs and your will ROLF.
Technical Aspects :
Director Anil Ravipudi did a good job with the film. He utilised Venkatesh’s comic skills in a perfect way. There are some issues with the story like logic and weak conflict point but they all will go unnoticed.
Devi Sri Prasad’s music did not add any value to the movie and it is just ok. Dialogues are hilarious. Dil Raju’s production values are super rich as always.
Editing is neat and there are some unwanted songs in some crucial moments.
Finally: F2- Fun and Fun in theatres
