Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan and the senior leaders of the party stood as role model to the other leaders in aspiring for the party tickets in the impending Assembly and Parliament elections. The party screening committee headed by Madasu Gangadharam is now receiving applications from the aspirants. The party leaders are busy receiving applications as the spirants throng the party headquarters here.
As a mark of being role model to the others, party chief Pawan Kalyan had submitted his application to the screening committee. This was followed by senior leaders Nadendla Manohar, Ravela Kishore Babu, Thota Chandrasekhar, P Balaraju and others to give their applications to the screening committee.
This followed hundreds of aspirants from all sections are forming beeline at the party office with the applications. There are women and tribals too submitting their applications. A good number of educated youth are also coming to the party office with applications.
Pawan Kalyan had promised a new-age politics and that is clearly visible with the people visiting the party office and giving their applications for the Assembly and Parliament constituencies every day. The exercise is first of its kind in the State politics. No party receives applications like this and that way the new generation politics have come into the State as promised by Pawan Kalyan.
Interestingly, this new age politics is being followed now by the Congress which had just completed the exercise of receiving applications from the aspirants from across the State. If this is set to stay, the days are not too far for the political parties to follow suit. Thus Jana Sena has an upper hand over these parties in setting new trends in politics.
Pawan Kalyan had also cautioned the screening committee against making any reference to money from the aspirants and applicants. He said he had some bad experiences in dealing with money in elections, particularly at the time of allocation of party tickets before elections. He is clear on this now and the party leaders are strictly following his instructions. Thus the influence of money is being reduced in elections and that too started with the Jana Sena, for good.
