The Income Tax department continues its raids on Andhra and Telangana leaders. Especially, IT department focussed on TDP leaders as per the sequence of raids.
Initially, raids were conducted on Revanth Reddy who was a TDP leader, now a Congress leader.
Now, the IT department veered the raids toward ‘big heads’ in the yellow party. Enforcement Directorate officials reportedly conducted raids at Sujana Group of Industries of YS Chowdary who is a close acquaintance of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu. I-T officials raided the firms of TD leaders Bidam Masthan Rao and Kandukur TD legislator Pothula Rama Rao.
Some TRS leaders were also targeted by IT department TRS MP Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy and the properties related to Vijayarama Rao are in this list.
IT department has been conducting raids at CM Ramesh’s house who is also a close acquaintance of Nara Chandrababu Naidu. Searches are still going on.
The AP CM has been blaming Central Government for these raids. While TD leaders alleged that these raids were a political vendetta, BJP leaders said it was the duty of the I-T officials to investigate in case of fraud. In Telangana state, the IT department is planning to conduct more raids on TRS and TDP leader in the coming days according to confidential sources.
